Will getting a larger SDHC card lengthen my recording time on a digital camera?

That's per video. However, often videos are big files and sometimes - depending on the recording settings - you might not be able to record more than 20 minutes. If you need to record more than that at once, you can just have a mini 'cut!' moment, then take two separate videos.
