How to write to an Inmate?

I have never write to an inmate, but recently found out an old friend was incarcerated. Im not sure how to write to them how do I addess the envelope? I know his Number and where he is located. Do I just send it to the address where he is incarcerated and put his name and number on that? Any help will do. Thanks!
